Temperance Guild
Stormrage - US
We are a raiding guild, and we are looking for more raiders to fill our roster. We generally raid during the times of 6:45pm-8:45pm Pacific time (9:45pm-11:45pm Eastern) on Wednesday & Thursday and have optional raids during the same time on Friday & Saturday.

What are we looking for?
We are looking for skilled raiders who understand that WoW is a game, and not a measure of anything worthwhile in the real world other than a source of enjoyment. We come to play, to have fun, to progress, and to be with like-minded people with whom we enjoy spending several hours a week. (If you bring an elitist attitude, you will be ridiculed until we decide to no longer tolerate you during our raids)
We are looking for patient raiders. People make mistakes. Everyone learns things at their own pace. Our team functions by working together in a patient and calculated manner. We are not looking for server firsts, but rather to have a good time playing a game we all enjoy.
We are NOT looking for people who want to get carried, nor do we want people who expect us to never wipe on any raid boss, regardless of difficulty. This does not mesh with our group dynamic.
We are NOT looking for people who believe that Mumble should be held to a military like standard where general talk during an encounter is prohibited. If you are unable to concentrate on your rotation and mechanics while listening and/or participating in a conversation unrelated to the encounter, then this raid team is probably not for you.
* We are looking for raiders who are NOT easily offended. We stand together as a guild group and celebrate our differences as grown adults. With this in mind, everyone and everything is fair game. We hold nearly nothing sacred and make many jokes during raid that, in many circles, could be considered offensive.
What do we need?
After the evaluation period, you must be willing to transfer your raiding character to the Stormrage - US Server and join the guild. We run Guild Master Loot, and require that the number of players in the raid will allow this setting to be enabled.
We prefer a reasonable amount of Artifact Power to be on your artifact.
Side note on Gear: Gear is easily obtained, and we want candidates to know that we will take people who aren’t geared and assist you in gearing your character. We don’t mind spending the time to do this. Doing heroic clears for gear is something we are willing to do.
With the statement above in mind, we have a commitment towards gearing the group together, and bringing lower geared people up to speed. Therefore, you must be committed to our group. This means making an honest effort to attend all scheduled raid nights. This means prioritizing our group above other raids.
A Facebook Account (we use a private group and chat for communication)
Mumble (preferably with a working microphone)
RC Loot Council Addon (we raid in masterloot and want to be efficient when it comes to passing out loot; we want to be pulling the next boss ASAP)
Contact
The best way (and most preferred way) to join us is to send a Battletag Request to: Roy#1489
In your initial message, tell us a little more about yourself. Tell us what you are hoping for in our guild. Maybe a brief history of your WoW life. Anything you believe would be relevant.

Another way to contact us is by joining our Discord server.

Wipes are expected to occur as we are raiding content that still requires much attention and skill. Having said that, we have a 3 wipe policy for all types of raid. After 3 wipes, we will evaluate the reason for our wipes. Please understand that if you are the reason we are wiping, we will ask you to leave the group and be replaced. We don't do this because we want to be mean or elitist, but because the time of your fellow raiders is valuable. We want to be an effective raid team, and will help you with any problems in your play, but this may have to wait for another date should we ask you to leave group. We will of course spend time after raid to help you understand any mechanics or help you with your character. We do these raids to help fellow players, and hope you understand our intentions.
Final note: We believe in "keeping the game fun." We enjoy ourselves while raiding, and hope you feel the same about having a blast while raiding. Having said that, we do not tolerate elitists, mean-spirited people, trolls, etc. We reserve the right to choose what type of people we play with online. Please keep that in mind. Be kind to your fellow gamer.

We run a loot council. The reason for this is because we don't want to rely on RNG to gear our players. We have a specific strategy in place that maximizes our progression, especially during new tiers.
We of the Temperance Guild know and understand that we want to not only gear ourselves, but gear the group in such a way that promotes success in future raid instances.
Everyone understands that certain roles will likely be geared first, then high performers, then people who have better attendance, and then by a fair roll system.
Everyone also agrees that as long as you consistently come to each raid, you will be geared to the best gear available in whichever instance we are running.
Recruit candidates often are surprised on how much gear is passed or refused by guild members because they want gear to be distributed to promote progression.
There is very little greed, and a sense of what the team needs to do with new gear. This is one of the reasons our group is enjoyable to progress with.
